Arrowwood wächst am besten in der Sonne oder im Halbschatten und verträgt jeden Gartenboden. Die Pflanze wächst ziemlich schnell und transplantiert gut. Die reife Höhe ist 6 bis 10 Fuß, mit einer Verbreitung von 6 bis 15 Fuß. Die kleinen, weißen Blüten werden im späten Frühjahr in 2- bis 4-Zoll-Trauben produziert. Kleine, dunkelblaue Früchte werden im Spätsommer produziert und von Vögeln gefressen. Die Herbstfarbe ist rot bis rotviolett.
